Provision Company - favorite for lunch
We have been coming to Provisions for over 20 years! We love to come by boat from Bald Head (you can dock right there) or stop for lunch on the way to catch the ferry to Bald Head. Can't beat the views of the Inland Waterway. The food is simple, fresh and delicious. My favorites are the lunch special, (1/4 lb of peel and eat shrimp and a crabcake for $8.95) and the tuna sandwich (just a big grilled tuna steak on a roll with lettuce and tomatos). Very casual, you order up front, walk around and find table, go to bar to get your drink, they bring your food out, and you tell them what you had on your way out to pay. Highly recommend Provisions.

Potters Seafood- pick up your seafood for your trip
FRESH FRESH FRESH - Fabulous local owned fish market. Seafood is right off the boat, shrimping boat is docked right there. Located on the waterway (next to Provisions). We like to stop here after lunch at Provisions and grab our seafood for the week. Owners are super friendly and offer suggestions of how to best prepare and they fillet the fish for you.

Honeysuckle Tea House
Love this place!! Honeysuckle is unique tea house in a rural location, not far from Chapel Hill. Great to take a break, have some delicious tea, enjoy snacks (food truck and local ice cream) or mead (honey wine) and wind down. Big outdoor playground for kids, hammocks, covered and uncovered picnic tables and lots of places to throw down a blanket for a picnic. This is a nice place to spend an afternoon on the weekend or hang out studying for the day. What a fantastic experience at such a quaint place! Food truck was excellent, teas were incredible, and the mead from the new meadery was delicious. Check their instagram for live music and yoga class schedules.

Hands down one of the coolest coffee shops I have been in. IT'S AMAZING. Fabulous coffee with a cozy environment! Highly recommend! Lots of great local products, and the staff was super friendly. The atmosphere makes me want to sit with my laptop of a good book on one of the sofas and drink yummy coffees all day long! The handcrafted and unique items for purchase were fun to browse, the candles are my absolute favorite item in the shop! This is definitely a coffee experience you don’t want to miss!

Hands down the best strawberry farm anywhere in NC. Family owned run and you will not find better strawberries (pick your own or pre picked). Farm beef, various vegetables, local honey, eggs and flower bouquets. During strawberry season (May) they are open everyday. Also their daughter Elizabeth is a potter and a few times a year sells her stoneware at the farm.

Jubla Coffee Roasters –
Delicious coffee, studious NC State University crowd, love the yellow and dark wood color scheme. Had a fried egg and cheese on a biscuit that was slightly sweet and delicious! Great spot if you are on NC State campus, they have an additional location in North Raleigh.
