Santa Barbara Guide
I spent a very special birthday with my Mom at my friends beautiful bungalow on the Mesa in Santa Barbara. Her home is an oasis that sits on the cliffs overlooking the Pacific. It was a magical spot to celebrate.

Loquita – Funk Zone
Beautiful simple elegant interior. Cool, fun, classy scene. Love the bar, great Spanish tapas.

Sushi A Go Go – Marina
Inexpensive, delicious and located on the docks in the marina. Order at the tiny counter inside and vie for a spot on the boardwalk. Enjoy your sushi while watching the boats come in. Closes at 7.
119 Harbor Way B, Santa Barbara, CA 93109

Les Marchand – Funk Zone
We loved french bistro mixed with Calafornia winery vibe. A bit less trendy and crowded then its sister restaurant The Lark. Best seats in the house are at the bar, be sure to order a cheese plate.

Hendry’s Boat House – The Mesa
Lucky for us we could walk to this gem from our house (only at low tide). This place is amazing. This beach bar and restaurant is trendy and fun with a great happy hour and surprisingly good food. I celebrated my Birthday here!

Handlebar Coffee Roasters – Downtown
Popular bicycle themed coffee shop brewing its own roasted beans. The coffee culture is booming here, don’t come for a quick cup of coffee, there is always a line. The Presidio is located ac cross the street and it is the oldest part of Santa Barbara the Spanish settled back in 1782. Be sure to check out their new location at 2720 De La Vina Street in Santa Barbara

Breakfast Culture Club – between downtown and Funk Zone
Great, modern, hip vibe. Lots of young people working in the fun vibe with garage doors that open up to the outside, love the huge black & white photographs and love how they are displayed. Try the avocado toast. Convenient parking out front.
