Provision Company - favorite for lunch
We have been coming to Provisions for over 20 years! We love to come by boat from Bald Head (you can dock right there) or stop for lunch on the way to catch the ferry to Bald Head. Can't beat the views of the Inland Waterway. The food is simple, fresh and delicious. My favorites are the lunch special, (1/4 lb of peel and eat shrimp and a crabcake for $8.95) and the tuna sandwich (just a big grilled tuna steak on a roll with lettuce and tomatos). Very casual, you order up front, walk around and find table, go to bar to get your drink, they bring your food out, and you tell them what you had on your way out to pay. Highly recommend Provisions.

FRESH FRESH FRESH - Fabulous local owned fish market. Seafood is right off the boat, shrimping boat is docked right there. Located on the waterway (next to Provisions). We like to stop here after lunch at Provisions and grab our seafood for the week. Owners are super friendly and offer suggestions of how to best prepare and they fillet the fish for you.

To Do

Honeysuckle Tea House
Love this place!! Honeysuckle is unique tea house in a rural location, not far from Chapel Hill. Great to take a break, have some delicious tea, enjoy snacks (food truck and local ice cream) or mead (honey wine) and wind down. Big outdoor playground for kids, hammocks, covered and uncovered picnic tables and lots of places to throw down a blanket for a picnic. This is a nice place to spend an afternoon on the weekend or hang out studying for the day. What a fantastic experience at such a quaint place! Food truck was excellent, teas were incredible, and the mead from the new meadery was delicious. Check their instagram for live music and yoga class schedules.

Miramar Beach – Rosewood Hotel
If we timed it right (with low tide this is a beautiful walk from Butterfly Beach).  This charming stretch of beach is tucked into a cove, lined with on-the-sand beach houses and a old school vibe. The resort has an old world European feel with yellow and white striped awnings, a resident falcon and a designated gatekeeper that leads guests safely across the Pacific Coast train tracks. The Miramar Beach Bar is a perfect spot to enjoy for an afternoon glass of Rosé. Caruso’s, right off the beach is a perfect destination for a mid morning cappuccino.
